ISDX Realitis
The ISDX range of telephone exchanges has evolved to become one
of the most popular systems in the UK and used by many of the top
100 blue chip companies.
The ISDX is a digital private telephone exchange with a stored-program
control. It is capable of handling both voice and data calls, and
supports a full range of telephone handsets (standard analogue,
digital, data), operator consoles, terminals, manager secretary
working, ACD, and a full range of features and facilities.
The exchange can be a simple stand alone unit or can be networked,
supporting analogue exchange lines to the PSTN (Public Telephone
Network). It also supports 192 kbit/s digital links (Basic Rate
Access) for connection to ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network),
and 2.048Mbit/s Digital links (Primary Rate Access) for connection
to public or private networks, (PSTN or ISDN). Analogue link interfaces
are also supported and include APNSS (Analogue Private Network Signalling
System) over analogue or digital lines. A full range of signalling
are supported including AC15 & DC5.
The main equipment is contained in a single
cabinet (larger systems may comprise of multiple cabinets)
which is designed to be installed in a normal office environment
or in a Communications Room.
The system size is suitable from small businesses upto the
major organisations starting from 4 exchange lines and 16
extensions upto many hundreds of lines. Dependant on software
the system can be upgraded and extended as your business expands.
The software can be upgraded (subject to site inspection)
to the Realitis platform. The benefits are a low cost option
to upgrade the telephone system without major disruption.
The cabinet and majority of cards will remain unchanged thus
reducing costs.
