TR Trinity / GPT PKS 2

A range of systems which were manufactured by Nitsuko Corporation for Mercury Communications (TR Trinity) and GPT/Plessey (PKS 2). Although certain differences can be seen between the 2 systems the generic operation remains the same. These systems were the forerunner of the Trinity DXM/GPT DXE are no longer manufactured, however due to their popularity a vast quantity of systems are currently in use.

Telephone Rentals had 3 models within their portfolio and comprised of:

TR Trinity Keysystem 8/16 (8 exchange lines by 16 extensions)

TR Trinity Keysystem 12/36 (12 exchange lines by 36 extensions)

TR Trinity Keysystem 24/64 (24 exchange lines by 64 extensions).

GPT/Plessey also had 3 models available:

A standard wiring format could be employed using 4 wire configuration to each extension using "star" wiring. This was the only option available on all systems with a reverse style BT telephone outlet.

This system was very versatile and offered the full range of features only normally offered by larger complex systems including analogue private circuits. It is important to note that only analogue exchange lines are available on this system, although through the use of a DISA (direct inward station access) it is possible to supply a form of DDI (direct dial line) to the extension.

No least cost routing could be set up on this system except with external routers. This range of systems was updated to the Trinity DXM / GPT DXE systems which incorporated least cost routing within the system software.

A full range of system telephones are available ranging from the basic entry model to full LCD display models.

Moves, changes and program alterations.
