Today's telephone systems are very reliable, one of the most common cause for telephone system failure is power disruption. This can be avoided by the installation of a back up battery system.

The most common UPS systems range from 1 to 7 hours in duration, and will continue to provide full communications (subject to digital line connection) in the event of a power failure. With the supply of a bypass switch connected to the UPS normal maintenance checks can be performed without power being lost to the telephone exchange.

Your UPS system will require maintenance checks at a minimum of once every 12 months. Batteries will deteriorate, with a life expectancy on approx. 4 - 5 years from installation. The ambient room temperature if too warm can also reduce the life of your batteries.
